It's targeted at the DIY builder so the schematic is pretty much straight out of the Tandy service manual with all THT parts, minus the power section (more on that later). The board size has been reduced as much as possible, and two LED's added to indicate power to the MPI and Coco to minimize accidental unplugging when still powered up. The cart slots are numbered one to four, front to back, like a real MPI, but are rotated 90 degrees so the cart labels face forward. This was mainly done to better suit devices that have indicator LED's on the top of the cart.

For power you have a couple of different options. It is supplied with all the parts, however, on assembled ones the USB-C and MicroUSB are not installed as they are SMD. You can power directly via the included external 5V PSU to barrel jack. The USB-C, or MicroUSB ports can be soldered in locally for those to power it. Or you can use a 7.5V PSU into the barrel jack and a pair of AMS1117 5V VRM's will split the power load between slots 1/2 and 3/4. These are supplied but not installed on assembled versions. For +12V and -12V there are solder jumpers on the back to take that from the Coco1 cartridge port, but no options to provide those voltages on a Coco2 or 3.

Offerings -

Full Kit - Everything necessary to assemble , power and run yourself.

Assembled - This only has the 5v barrel and PSU, but includes all additional parts to use 5.5V USB-C, MicroUSB, or go to 7.5v into the barrel jack and install VRM/Caps

(Under the MIT License -

Copyright (c) 2024 Chris Tersteeg

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy
of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal
in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights
to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell
copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is
furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:

The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all
copies or substantial portions of the Software.)

(PCB made at an international PCB, parts bought in US and internationally, 3D done by Dustys Vintage Workshop)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0684/3623/0317/files/rn_image_picker_lib_temp_ce5e4db3-6ef0-451e-ba13-6b0897a26ba2.jpg?v=1785187647
