FreHD PIC+PLD Kits

A FreHD is a Hard Drive alternative for various TRS-80 Machines. 

• TRS-80 Model I (With or without a Quinnterface)
• TRS-80 Model III (Direct connection)
• TRS-80 Model 4 (Direct connection)
• TRS-80 Model 4P (Direct connection)
• TRS-80 Model I Revision K FreHD (As daughterboard or via 40 pin interface).

While you can normally update with FUPDATE, you might want to take a different approach to avoid the risk of any programming issues.The CURRENT_VERSION as of now is 2.17

Our offerings are -

1) CURENT_VERSION PIC only - If you are upgrading from 2.X to the most current, all you need to do is replace the PIC if not software updated.

2) CURRENT_VERSION PIC + Standard PLD - This is if you're either creating a device from scratch (Such as the TRS-80 Model I Revision K FreHD) or want a spare set.

3) CURRENT_VERSION PIC + Open Collector PLD - This is if you're using the "Open Collector" mode of the TRS-80 Model I Revision K FreHD.

4) MABOYTIM LFN PIC - This is what's being termed Version 3.55 with "Long File Name" support by Matt Boytim. If you want to upgrade fron a 2.X version this is the only way as it requires a different PIC than originally supplied. 

5) MABOYTIM LFN PIC + Standard PLD- Matt Boytims LFN and the standard PLD. 

6) MABOYTIM LFN PIC + Open Collector PLD - Matt Boytims LFN and the "Open Collector"   mode of the TRS-80 Model I Revision K FreHD.
