This was originally designed for a TRS-80 Model II but can be used in any vintage company with a 24 pin(2716/2732) ROM/EPROM as part of its BIOS.
The board creates the possibility to combine a DS1215 or DS1315 with the existing boot ROMs for many computers.
The DS1215 is the chip that is used in the DS1216 SmartWatch DIP sockets. The DS1315 is the successor with the same functionality. Either chip can be used. For the DS1315 use the 5 Volt version DS1315-5+ or DS1315N-5+. The reference of DS1315 includes DS1215.
