Welcome to a machine on Tuc's Workbench. It's currently on the "TO BE REPAIRED" rack. This item is sold AS-IS, appears as shown and detailed, along with any extras mentioned in the "CURRENT STATE" section. After hearing from people that they'd like to be doing the refurb on some of our equipment, we've decided to sell items directly off our "TO BE REPAIRED" rack. Once we pull it off and put it on the bench, we'll remove it from the site until completed. We've added "FUTURE STATE" so that you can see the things we plan to do to it. But for now it's being sold in CURRENT STATE condition and include any extras mentioned there.

CURRENT STATE

This is internally called "TRS-80 Model 4P -MLFL". It's current state is -

• Gate Array Model 4P
• Has a power cord
• Green Screen
• Floppy drives don't work, unable to boot as is
• Boot Rom version "1(16) 18-Oct-83"
• One of the clips for the rear door is chipped
• Passes memory test

If purchased in this current state, we will include -

• The machine as pictured
• Power supply recap kit
• Gotek Floppy Drive Emulator 435 MCU w/ Rotary Encoder OLED and mounting bracket
• George Hines Floppy Remapper and Model 4P extension cable

FUTURE STATE

When it hits the workbench, this is what I plan to do -

1. Recap power supply
2. Retr0brite
3. Dust all internals
4. Validate memory chips and memory amount
5. Add Gotek as Drive 0
6. Check Drive 1 for normal operation
7. Install Floppy Remapper and M4P Cable
8. Validate all ports work
9. See if the door can be recast to be complete
